About Antwan Player

Dr. Player believes the classroom is an arena for cultivating knowledge. Each student brings a diverse life experience unique from one another. As an educator, Dr. Player believes in using these strengths to foster an atmosphere full of dialogue to enhance professional and personal development. Dr. Player’s social interest approach empowers students to realize their ability that will one day help others.

Dr. Player received his doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision from Argosy University in 2018. Dr. Player holds a master’s in mental health counseling from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Before moving to Minnesota, Dr. Player worked in community mental health agencies and held a private practice. Dr. Player’s clinical philosophy focuses on helping individuals reach self-actualization. Dr. Player’s has worked with a multitude of populations, including, high-risk adolescents, parenting enhancement, and individuals of the LGBTQ community to name a few. Dr. Player is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

Dr. Player’s goal is for every student to walk away understanding the impact they will have on their community and society. The knowledge that is obtained through learning and dialogue provides a wealth of opportunity personal and professional growth. At Adler Graduate School, students are more than just pupils, but rather the next wave of intellectuals that will contribute to the profession, and society.
