Adler Graduate School participates in the National Council for State Authorized Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).  This organization has been established to oversee the delivery of postsecondary distance education across states.  “The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement is a voluntary agreement among its member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance-education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state” (http://nc-sara.org/about).

The Adler Graduate School prepares its students for licensure in a mental health field.

To comply with 34 CFR 668.14(b)(32) and 34 CFR 668.43, our institution ensures that all students are informed about state licensure requirements during our interview process. Specifically, we provide detailed information on whether our programs meet the educational requirements for licensure in each state where our students are located. Additionally, we have a notice on our website clearly indicating that our programs meet all licensure requirements, with the exception of California. This proactive approach ensures that all new prospective students, starting on July 1, 2024, are aware of our licensure status and can make informed decisions about their education and future employment. Additionally, we provide individual student advising in the event that we stop meeting licensure requirements in their state or when they inform us that they are moving to a state where we do not meet the requirements.

If you plan to use your degree or courses from the Adler Graduate School to pursue licensure in another state, it is good practice to stay informed about educational requirements for licensure set by the licensing boards in the state in which you may apply for a license now or in the future.

Please consult with your AGS Program Director for assistance, and please also stay aware of state licensure requirements during and after your education is completed.
