Life Tasks and Psychological Muscle

This presentation will include a discussion of the three critical Adlerian Life Tasks,(Work, Social and Intimacy and the four dimensions of psychological muscle, (Responsibility, Cooperation, Respect and Courage.)

The workshop will also discuss the most critical task of parenting: preparing the next generation of civil adults. The critical issues in that preparation will be examined.

The participants will have an understanding of the three Life Tasks.

The participants will have an understanding of the four dimensions of psychological muscle.

Participants will understand the relationship between these concepts.

Dr. Paul Rasmussen is a Staff Psychologist at a Veterans Affairs Medical Center in South Carolina. He is a Core Faculty at Adler University in Chicago. He has taught as an adjunct faculty at many other universities including, Furman University, University of Georgia and Columbia College. He has 35 years of experience in direct care. He has been a Rudolph Dreikurs Visiting Scholar at Southern Illinois University. He is the author of multiple journal articles and books.
