Creating a Global Mindset for Today’s Leaders: A Zoom presentation

This 2-part 6 hour workshop will review the existing approaches used in leadership today and discuss the need for a Global Leadership mindset that is critical for future leaders to be successful. Various existing Leadership models will be reviewed such as Authentic, Transformational, and Servant leadership as well as the ingredients needed to become a Global Leader which requires a VERY different approach.

Dreams serve a purpose. When clients are facing problems, understanding their dreams can be helpful. Through lecture, demonstration and practice, participants will learn the purpose of dreams and how to help their clients understand them. By understanding the dream, clients can solve their problems more effectively. Participants’ are encouraged to bring the dream of a client who is struggling with a current problem.

First, Neurodiversity: Unpathologizing Individuals on the Autism Spectrum - Approved for 3CE’s

This course will include common misconceptions and misdiagnosis on the Autism spectrum, Nuerodiversity, systems theory, Adlerian theory, cultural history of disability and autism and will create an understanding of ecological nueroscience and neuro-anatomy and how this effects individuals on the spectrum. The presentation will include how these systemic changes effect the community and families.

Participants will:

Understand individuals on the spectrum from botha neurodiversity and a systems perspective.

Suicide Assessment and Intervention: an Online Presentation

7/31/2020 - 10:00am to 2:30pm CDT

This course will give participants an overview of the current state of suicide in the country and the state of Minnesota within families and with individuals. It will help the participants better assess their suicidal clients and offer an intervention using Dave Jobes CAMS suicide intervention.

Participants will gain an accurate knowledge about risk factors and rates of suicide, They will learn use of the CAMS to evaluate the risk of suicide in the patient population, as well as the ability to utilize the intervention for on going treatment.

Mindful Self-Care for Mental Health Professionals - Burnout & Fatigue

8/7/2020 - 9:00am to 4:30pm CDT

This workshop will be presented through ZOOM.

Do you find yourself fatigued as you care compassionately for clients?· Do you need tools for greater boundaries so you can support your self?· Do you need a stress reliever in your day?

You can work with clients in a way that won’t burn you out. Learn how to create supportive self-talk, a balance of giving and receiving and, take better care of your emotions. Learn a process to embrace others’ suffering, pain or trauma without trying so hard to “fix” it. Help clients and yourself create calm in the midst of stress.
