Parenting Children with Attachment Disruptions: The Trust-Based Relational Approach

8/9/2019 - 9:00am to 4:30pm CDT

The Trust Based Relational Intervention approach to nurturing is a new paradigm that is proving highly effective to a very challenging population. Parents struggling to connect with their adopted, foster, or troubled children are often desperate for something that will bring success. Based on cutting edge and evidence-based research, the principles laid out in this seminar clearly lay out the skills necessary for parenting these very fragile and special young ones.

Mental health professionals will find it extremely useful in their work with parents, for attachment struggles are not limited to adopted children. In fact, they often show up in divorced and even intact families. Participants will engage with Cynthia in activities that provide tangible learning experiences, and go home with materials that can be used immediately with discouraged families.
