Understanding the Complex Levels of Generational Trauma: Healing for American Indian Individudals, Families and Communities

6/7/2019 - 9:00am to 4:30pm CDT

This presentation examines not only the effects of generational trauma but also looks at trauma created by other factors such as racism, internalized oppression, loss of cultural roots, and the family issues that resulted from these issues. We will survey the strengths that have historically existed in the nations of the original people and how to use those gifts to heal from within. This exposition will highlight some of the misconceptions that have caused great trauma, and expose truths about the healing that is taking place with each generation.
