The Adler Graduate School offers a Master of Arts Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy with an emphasis in Adlerian Studies. This 48-credit degree requires successful completion of a combination of required and elective courses and a Master's Project.
With an emphasis in Adlerian Studies, students will learn about the foundational areas of psychotherapy and counseling as well as participate in research activities and experiential exercises designed to deepen their mastery of Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler. The program prepares students for pursuing careers in mental health and human services in the jurisdictions in which pre-degree field experience is not required for licensure; careers in mental health, human services, and non-profit leadership that require advanced degree in mental health without licensing; or it can become a licensing footprint for those who may seek additional licensing educational options in a future.
This program is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
