Master’s Degree Applicants

All applicants seeking the Master's degree will be expected to submit the following materials for a complete application file by the application deadline:

  • START YOUR APPLICATION (please note you will be required to write a 500 word personal goal statement)
  • Official transcripts indicating the degree conferred
  • Three letters of recommendation complete with accompanying form for each (You may be asked to provide additional letters of recommendation as needed.)
    1. Professional (employment/internship supervisor, etc.)
    2. Academic
    3. Other (NO immediate family)

*Please note the only Master’s tracks available online at this time are: Adlerian Studies, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Marriage and Family Therapy

Certificate Program / Licensure Completion / Non-Degree Seeking Applicants

All applicants seeking a certificate program, licensure completion with a previous Master’s degree, or non-degree seeking students will be expected to submit the following materials for a complete application file by the application deadline:

**Please note for the Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, you will be required to submit the following in addition to the above Certificate Program materials:

  • A personal goal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation with accompanying RECOMMENDATION FORM for each letter (at least one recommendation must be a professional reference).

Application Process

Once all portions of your application have been submitted, your application will be reviewed by the appropriate program staff. Additional information will be gathered as needed. You may be asked to interview with program staff. A decision will be made and you will be informed via email.

  • Admitted residential students must attend New Student Orientation and Grad School 101 before the start of enrollment.  Students who do not attend the mandatory New Student Orientation and Grad School 101 will be required to postpone enrollment for one term. 
  • Admitted online students will participate in OL Grad School 101 approximately two weeks before the first class starts.

All students (Master’s, Certificate, Licensure, and Non-Degree) may only begin classes if, by New Student Orientation, they submit the following:

  • A completed Intent to Enroll form
  • Immunization form
  • Tuition Agreement form
