Authentic Movement: Embodied Self Care (click here for more)

2/23/2018 - 9:00am to 4:30pm CST

We live in challenging times and clients who are struggling to function in their lives increasingly impacts our own resilience. Effective self-care is an important component of clinical work. Authentic Movement (AM) is a form of self-directed embodied expression that facilitates deep listening and processing of internal needs and experiences. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to Authentic Movement (AM) as a whole-person self-care practice. We will also explore multi-modal techniques for using AM to unfold less conscious aspects of our experiences. Clinical applications and use of Authentic Movement to explore countertransference will also be briefly addressed. This workshop is accessible for all levels of movement ability.
