CE - Advanced Seminar in Counseling: Human Sexuality

15CE - $399: This course will increase awareness, knowledge, and skills regarding a broad range of issues in the field of counseling when addressing human sexuality and intimacy issues across the lifespan; including assessment and interventions for common problems of sexual functioning. This course surveys biological, cultural, psychological, and ethical issues related to sexual behavior. Students will develop comfort in exploring subjects and working with a diverse range of clients on topics to include the expression of human sexuality and attitudes about sexuality.

*Note - this workshop will be held: All Tuesdays in October 6:15pm-9:30pm


Rashida Fisher has 10+ years of professional experience in addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment delivery, clinical supervision, and program development. Rashida specializes in Culturally Responsive Care and Trauma Informed Service Delivery. Rashida’s work is grounded in social justice and advocacy that promotes empowerment, resilience, and growth.

Evette Farley is a Mental Health Practitioner who works systemically with adults, adolescents, children and families, using a culturally responsive and holistic lens.  She has provided therapy services for 7 years. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and provides an increased awareness of knowledge for individuals and families affected by trauma, including sexual trauma.  Evette has provided group therapy including Psychoeducation topics on healthy sexual relationships for Dual-diagnosed individuals. She currently provides school-based and in-home therapy services and is in the process of pursuing licensure in Alcohol and Drug counseling, in order to support adolescents who are struggling with chemical dependency.  Her passion is working with adolescents on their path to freedom.
